As the school year was winding down, students at R. Cantu Jr. High School had the opportunity to learn a few road safety lessons. Except this did not involve four-wheeled vehicles; it involved bicycles. A week of P.E. class time during National Bike Month was made available for students to bring their bikes and learn more about cycling as a sport and leisure activity.
Student not only learned about the laws that cyclists must follow, but also about riding techniques, proper gear shifting and usage, maintenance, and safety.
