VMHS Boys Cross Country Team qualifies for state

                 The Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) Boys Cross Country Team placed second, overall, at this past weekend’s regional cross country meet held in San Antonio, Texas, qualifying them for the state cross country meet.           

                The state meet will be held Saturday, November 8 at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas.

                The team placed second, overall, in the 5A conference at the regional meet. G.J. Reyna placed eighth, overall in the individual standings. Fabian Garcia placed eleventh, overall.

                The team consists of G.J. Reyna, Fabian Garcia, Martin Garcia, Alvaro Mendez, J.R. De Ochoa, Jesus Mata, Eric Chavez.

                The head coach is William Proctor. The assistant coach is Romeo De La Garza.
