When the best middle school musicians in the area come together for the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All Region Band Concert on December 13, a K. White Jr. High School (KWJH) student will be among them. Miguel Gomez earned a spot in the TMEA Region XV Symphonic Band based on Regional auditions held this past weekend.
Gomez plays the bass clarinet and is the first KWJH band student in nine years to earn a place in a TMEA All Region Band.
The region concerts are free and will be held on December 13, beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the La Joya Fine Arts Auditorium.
