Mission, Texas- A total of 23 Mission High School (MHS) student have qualified to advance to state Business Professionals of America (BPA) competitions. They qualified based upon their performance at the recent BPA Regional Leadership Conference. The state competition will be held in Dallas, Texas in early March.

Silva, fundamental accounting; Dante Rodriguez, advanced spreadsheets; Jin Hui Gao, advanced spreadsheet; Maxine Rodriguez, fundamental word processing; Sara Irma Lopez, database applications; Kenya Salinas, keyboarding; Yvette Cazares, basic office procedures; Javier Nevarez, fundamental accounting; Iliana Lizette Pimentel, database applications; Nicholas Solis, computer network technology; Jovanna Hernandez, computer network technology; Alexis Flores, advanced word processing; Jasmin Vega, database applications; Gerardo B. These MHS BPA chapter members will join over 2,700 other conference delegates from across the state to participate in state level business skill competitions, general sessions, and the state officer candidate campaigns and elections.
BPA is a national organization for middle school, high school, and college students preparing for career in business and office occupations. The organization’s activities and programs complement classroom instruction by giving students practical experience through application of the skills learned at school.
