MHS BPA students qualify as national alternates

                Mission, Texas-  A total of 23 Mission High School (MHS) students participated in the recent state Business Professionals of America (BPA) competitions. They qualified based upon their performance at the recent BPA Regional Leadership Conference. Three have qualified to serve as alternates for the BPA National Leadership Conference. They are: Maxine Rodriguez in fundamental word processing, Nicolas Solis in computer network technology, and Sarah Lopez in database applications.

Silva, fundamental accounting; Dante Rodriguez, advanced spreadsheets; Jin Hui Gao, advanced spreadsheet; Maxine Rodriguez, fundamental word processing; Sara Irma Lopez, database applications; Kenya Salinas, keyboarding; Yvette Cazares, basic office procedures; Javier Nevarez, fundamental accounting; Iliana Lizette Pimentel, database applications; Nicholas Solis, computer network technology; Jovanna Hernandez, computer network technology; Alexis Flores, advanced word processing; Jasmin Vega, database applications; Gerardo B. Hernandez, fundamental spreadsheets;  Fernando Cruz, video production team; Sonia Conde, video production team.

                BPA is a national organization for middle school, high school, and college students preparing for career in business and office occupations. The organization’s activities and programs complement classroom instruction by giving students practical experience through application of the skills learned at school.
