Mission CISD online registration fairs Saturday, April 11

Mission, Texas- The online registration window is open for parents of currently enrolled students in a Mission CISD (Consolidated Independent School District) school. Parents can register their currently enrolled students by clicking on the “Registration” link on the district website, www.mcisd.net.

In an effort to help families who may not have Internet access at their homes, special Online Registration Fairs are scheduled to be held on Saturday, April 11 at Cavazos Elementary School, Mission Jr. High School, K. White Jr. High School, and R. Cantu Jr. High School. The Online Registration Fairs will be held from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on April 11 at each of those four schools. Parents will be able to go to the closest of these four schools to register any of their Mission CISD children who are currently enrolled. Special computer labs will be set up for the Online Registration Fairs and campus/district staff will be on hand to help with the process.

In order for parents to be able to take advantage of the online registration, either from home or at the fairs, they will need to have an account in the district’s Parent Portal system. This also requires parents to have an email address.

Parents who do not remember their Parent Portal passwords can use the online system to have them emailed to them through the email address they have on file with the district. Parents can also go by their child’s school to retrieve the password in person.

Students whose parents complete their online registration by April 12, 2015 will be entered into drawings to win a Chromebook computer (1 per school). Also, the first 3,000 students with completed online registration will receive a free district t-shirt.

In addition to gaining access to the online registration processes, a Parent Portal account also allows parents access to items like: their student’s grades, attendance, schedules, and communication with teachers.

Parents who do not have a Parent Portal account can request one through a link in the “Registration” area of the district website. Parents will be required to have an email address in order to get a Parent Portal account.

Help in setting up email accounts and Parent Portal accounts will also be available during the Online Registration Fairs on April 11.
