Three students from Mims Elementary School have been honored for their efforts in computer coding. The three were a part of a special partnership program between Mission CISD, Mission Economic Development Corporation (EDC), and Sylvan Learning Center.
Emma B. Zamora, Mariano Garcia, and Madeline King were recently recognized by the Mission EDC for winning the first coding competition. The coding initiative has involved students and teachers at each of the Mission CISD elementary schools this school year. In addition to the coding competition, students throughout the district also participated in An Hour of Code earlier this school year.
