Early literacy continues to play a major role in the future success of children as they develop. This is one of the many focuses of services provided through our Migrant Department. Migrant parents were recently invited to participate, with their pre-school children, in a special early literacy camp. During the camp, the parents work with their children on several items they could take home and use for practicing literacy skills at home. The presenter was Graciela Avila from the Region One Education Service Center.
