Students at Midkiff Elementary School had a special visitor during their regular assembly on May 1. Edinburg resident Abel Gonzalez was their special guest. Gonzalez is currently a contestant on the NBC TV show, American Ninja Warriors.
Gonzalez’s story is an inspirational one of over-coming obstacles, perseverance, and the importance of physical activity and fitness.
After visiting during the assembly, Gonzalez joined students out on their walking track for part of the campus walk-a-thon fundraiser.
