Escobar/Rios Elementary School’s Honor Society chapter continues to grow

 

                Mission, Texas- Escobar/Rios Elementary School was the first Mission CISD (Consolidated Independent School District) campus to start a National Elementary Honor Society chapter in the district. That commitment to academic excellence has continued to grow at Escobar/Rios and other district campuses have also started chapters.

                The ranks of the Escobar/Rios Elementary School chapter grew by 40 members this week as the new members were inducted during ceremonies on Thursday, April 30.

                The new inductees are: Mia Adame, Raul Alvarez, Anastacio Carmona, Janae Cortez, Nelly Enriquez, Aidan Escamilla, Monique Estrada, Joselin Garza, Samuel Garza, Dana Gonzalez, Vinicio Guerrero, Francisco Guzman, Carolina Hernandez, Matthew Hernandez, Jose Hinojosa, Gabriel Iracheta, Marco Leos, Priscilla Leyva, Jannel Lopez, Gabriel Marquez, Ashely Mendez, Natalie Murillo, Dario Nava, Nicolas Ortiz, Keyla Pulido, Danna Razo, Eliud Reyna, Bethani Ruiz, Karla Saenz, Nicole Salinas, Savannah Sanchez, Alessandra Serda, Cassandra Serda, Jasmine Trevino, Rudy Trevino, William Trevino, Orlando Valencia, Frida Vasquez, Iris Zavala, Ediel Zuniga.

                In order to qualify, student must have obtained a high GPA in all core subjects during the first semester and maintain that high GPA throughout. They also have to meet strict criteria for attendance and tardies. Service involvement at home, school, and in the community are also incorporated.
