Walking the art

Mission, Texas- A group of 29 students from Mission Jr. High School (MKJ) were invited to exhibit their artwork at the McAllen Creative Incubator as a part of the most recent McAllen Art Walk. The event took place Friday, May 1 and was the final Art Walk scheduled for the 2015 season. This is the first time MJH has participated in the event. Their entries included pieces that ranged from pencil drawings to mixed media. Students from grades 6-8 participated. The students’ artwork was so well received that they were asked to leave it on display for two more weeks at the McAllen Creative Incubator, located at 601 N. Main St., McAllen. The artwork will be on display through Friday, May 15.
