Mission, Texas- The robotics teams from K. White Jr. High School (KWJH) had a very strong showing at the recent Texas Computer Educators Association state robotics competition. The AlfaHawk team came in second place in the intermediate arena division. The team members are, (left to right): Jose L. Sanchez Jr. (coach), Zhi Huang, Alondra Martinez, Esteban Lopez (captain), Alejandro Hernandez.
The KWJH BravoHawk team placed sixth in the same competition. The Bravo-Hawks are: Alan Castellanos (captain), Arnulfo Salazar, Jesus Torres, Armando Villarreal, Yazmin Cortez.
KWJH’s third team, the DeltaHawks, competed in the advanced arena competitions and placed 28th overall out of more than 60 schools. Team members are: Damian Cantu (captain), Francisco Garcia, Anyssa Vidaurri, Karina Cantu, Giselle De Leon.
The teams are coached by Jose L. Sanchez Jr., Daniela Barrera, Shaila Silva.
