Mission, Texas- The Mission High School FFA Dairy Cattle Judging team has had a successful spring that advanced them to state competitions. Leading in to the state competition, the team participated in the Rio Grande Valley FFA District, Area 10 FFA Regional, and Area 10 Invitational Dairy Cattle Judging contests. Overall, the team placed as reserve champions in the RGV FFA District, and fourth place in both the Regional and Invitational contests.
Jose Calderon received the champion high point individual award for the highest score in the RGV FFA District and reserve champion high point individual at the regionals. Team member Jacob Flores received fourth place, Julissa Alvarez received seventh place, and Amanda Granados was 15th high point individual awards for being in the top ten in the RGV.
