Mission, Texas- The past two weekends, members of the Veterans Memorial High School Patriot Band competed at the UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest. The students earned a total of 20 medals.
Earning gold medals for their solo performances are: Daniel Vallejo and Tomas Garcia.
Earning silver medals for their solos are: Juan Trinidad Lara, Michael De la Garza, Judith Tijerina, Alexandra Galvez, Matthew Garcia.
Earning division 1 medals for ensemble performance are: Sarai Muniz, Victoria Escamilla, Valeria Munoz, Andrea Uribe, Cassandra Gutierrez, Elizabeth Gonzalez, Deandra Guevara, Ixtaccihuatl Obregon, John Schmidt, Amanda Juarez, Kevin Robles, Gabriel Trevino, Marcoantonio Vasquez.
