Using a pirate theme, the Molina Foundation has made a substantial contribution to the students of Mission CISD. Each student at Cantu Elementary School received a free book, donated by the Molina Foundation. Plus, they donated several thousand other books that will be distributed to qualifying students at each Mission CISD elementary school. The students at Cantu Elementary School received their books as a part of a campus-wide reading celebration event. This donation of books supports the district’s Read to Lead literacy initiative by helping the students build a home library for their personal use.
