Thanks to a grant from Target, four of our elementary schools had a special visit by an award-winning storyteller. When her Mission CISD “tour” is done, Mary Grace Ketner will have held sessions at O’Grady Elementary School, Marcell Elementary School, Waitz Elementary School, and Escobar/Rios Elementary School. Ketner’s visits are timed to coincide with studies going on in the classroom for third graders and fifth graders. Ketner is spending a half-day at each of the four schools, presenting separate sessions for the third graders and for the fifth graders.
