District recognized by Chamber of Commerce

Mission CISD has been honored by the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce as the 2015 Partner of the Year. The honor was announced during the Chamber’s annual banquet held on October 15. Over the past several years, Mission CISD has been working to improve working relationships with the Chamber of Commerce and Mission EDC to help drive community development and impact students in the classrooms.

An example of the growing partnership with the Chamber of Commerce came in the form of the All Fore the Kids Golf Tournament, which helped provide over 2,000 backpacks with school supplies to Mission CISD students this year.  The tournament was organized by the Chamber of Commerce as an effort to help give Mission CISD students a successful start to the school year through our annual Back to School Bash.  The district also works with the Chamber of Commerce on school/business collaborations supporting classroom instruction.
