Mission High School FFA Greenhand members recently participated in the South Texas Invitational Greenhand Camp sponsored by the San Benito FFA. The event was held at the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show grounds in Mercedes.
An FFA Greenhand must either be a freshmen participating in an Agricultural Science class or a first year Agricultural Science student.
The Greenhand members participated in a variety of activities relating to different sections of the FFA, such as: parliamentary procedure, the FFA motto, career development events, leadership development events, supervised agricultural experiences, etc. Each was designed to help incoming FFA members focus on important aspects of the FFA.
