Students at Escobar/Rios Elementary School recently got to spend some quiet reading time with some of their closest friends from a galaxy far, far away. The campus held a Star Wars Read-A-Thon. They took turns getting comfortable with their books, in the company of various characters from the Star Wars movies. Each group of students was given 15 minutes of silent reading time. Pictured here are some of the younger students as they enjoyed sharing a book during a read aloud. The campus hopes to hold more Read-A-Thons during the school year.
