Mission, Texas- Five members of the Mission High School (MHS) choir recently competed in the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) District and Region choir auditions and earned places in the District Choir. Three of them also earned places in the TMEA Region Choir and are advancing to the Pre-Area Auditions to be held in mid-November.
The MHS choir students making the TMEA District Choir are: Oscar Salinas, Frankie Chaires, Alixiz Garza, Emara Balderas, Priscilla Cedillo.
The students making the TMEA Region Choir are: Oscar Salinas, Emara Balderas, Frankie Chaires.
The TMEA District and Region Choirs will perform for a free, public concert on November 21, at the UTRGV Performing Arts Center. The concert begins at 6:00 p.m.
