Mission, Texas- Eleven members of the Mission High School (MHS) choir recently competed in the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Treble Choir audition and have earned places in the TMEA Region XV District Treble Choir.
They are (pictured left to right, back row): Alex Vargas, Amy Brewer, Sarah Cantu, Giselle Reynaga, Alejandra Martinez. On the front row are: Jacinda Chavez, Enez Balderas, Kathryn Macias, Jennifer Herrera, Maria Pruneda. Not pictured is Mariah Torres.
Unlike some other TMEA contests, this audition process does not progress beyond the District Choir level.
The TMEA District and Regional Choir concerts will be held on November 21, at the UTRGV Performing Arts Center, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
