Mission, Texas- Two members of the Mission CISD (Consolidated Independent School District) Migrant Parent Advisory Council (PAC) recently presented at a state conference. Blanca Tijerina (pictured center) and Cruz Tijerina (pictured left) represented Mission CISD well at the Migrant Educators in Texas conference held in San Antonio, Texas. Their topics included supplemental services and how parents can help other parents ensure student success.
In addition to being a member of the district Migrant PAC, Ms. Tijerina is also serving as a member of the state Migrant PAC.
Arminda Ramirez (pictured right), migrant coordinator for Mission CISD was elected as the regional director for the Region One Education Service Center area during the recent state conference. She will serve a two-year term.
