Mission, Texas- Two students from Veterans Memorial High School are advancing to the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Area auditions for the TMEA All-State Choir. Anthony Lopez and Dara San Martin competed recently in the TMEA Pre-Area auditions and performed well enough to advance in this process toward All-State. Two other VMHS students, Vanessa Cano and Julian Rivera, will serve as alternates for the Area auditions.
The TMEA All-State Choir auditions will be held in January at Rockport-Fulton High School. The TMEA All-State Choirs are considered the highest level of achievement for choir students in Texas.
