Mission, Texas- Three students from Alton Memorial Jr. High School recently competed and qualified for the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Region 15 Middle School All-Region Band.

At the auditions, each student individually presents three prepared selections for a judging panel that consists of band directors from throughout the region. The criterion included: quality of tone, rhythmic precision, notational consistency, and overall musicality.
The All-Region Band is scheduled to present a formal concert on Saturday, December 12, at 4:00 p.m. at the La Joya High School Performing Arts Center. The concert is free and open to the public.
