As a part of the district’s continuing promotion of physical activities, a special sixth grade girls basketball tournament was held by our partner, Boys and Girls Club of Mission. The tournament was held on December 10.
First place went to K. White Jr. High School. Second place went to Alton Memorial Jr. High School. The R. Cantu Jr. High School team came in third place. Fourth place went to Mission Jr. High School.
The games were very competitive with two of the games requiring over-time. One game between R. Cantu Jr. High and Alton Memorial Jr. High was a triple over-time game. Another game between R. Cantu Jr. High and K. White Jr. High ended as a tie, after three over-time periods.
