Taste testing

The Mission CISD Child Nutrition Program (CNP) just completed some taste testing of possible new menu items. Students at Mission Collegiate High School (MCHS) were asked to sample two breakfast items and a lunch item. They were also given a, thumbs-up, or thumbs-down ballot for each item sampled. Student input is used regularly by the CNP as a part of its menu decisions.

As a result of this latest test, students may start to see a fruit filled bagel bar as a part of breakfast offerings in February or March. A new lunch item that may also begin to appear is a mozzarella break stick.

The third item sampled by students this week, a southwestern breakfast toast will likely be tested at another campus before a final decision is made.

Pictured here are students at MCHS as they were offered the breakfast toast item for their vote/opinion.
