MHS DECA students advance to state competition

 

            Mission, Texas- The Mission High School (MHS) DECA chapter has 14 students who are advancing to state competitions that will take place in San Antonio, Texas in late February. The students are advancing based upon their performance at the recent DECA District 1 competition. Two of the students are also running for state officer positions.

            Students advancing to the state competition are: Juan Garza, Emily Barragon, buying and merchandising operations research; Samantha Alaniz, Daniella Gonzalez, Joanna Montantes, sports and entertainment research; Alexis Gonzalez, Daniella Lopez, community service project; Yvette Cazares, Kimberly Guerrero, Ashley Martinez, entrepreneurship innovation plan; Jeremiah Logan Gutierrez, Stephanie Galaviz, Melissa Carrillo, fashion merchandising promotional plan; Christopher Barboza, sports and entertainment promotional plan. Jeremiah Logan Gutierrez and Christopher Barboza will also be running for state officers.
