Mission, Texas- On the morning of Saturday, March 5, Mission CISD (Consolidated Independent School District) teachers, students, campus staff, and administrators will hit the streets for only the second time for a special community awareness event. During the Mission CISD Proud Block Walk, teams of people will be visiting neighborhoods in several areas, armed with information everyone should know about the district and why the community should take pride in their Mission CISD students and schools. The block walking teams plan to be out in their assigned neighborhoods beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The Mission CISD Proud Block Walk event will end with a special celebration to be held at Veterans Memorial High School at 11:00 a.m. There will be free food, fun, and student performances that will include: band, mariachi, cheerleaders. Veterans Memorial High School is located at 700 E. Two Mile Road, Mission.
