A group of 80 migrant students recently participated in a special Migrant Youth Conference. The 39 high school students and 41 junior high school students had the opportunity to meet individuals whose life stories were turned into a Disney movie. They met cross country runners, David and Danny Diaz, as well as their coach, Jim White. Their story became the movie, McFarland, USA. Students were encouraged to continue to be champions and keep a positive attitude. The students are pictured with the special guest speakers.
