MCHS BPA students qualify for state conference

 

            Mission, Texas- Top Business Professionals of America (BPA) students from Mission Collegiate High School (MCHS) will be attending the BPA 2016 State Leadership Conference in Corpus Christi, Texas this week.

            The following members will join 2,700 other conference delegates from across the state to participate in state level business skills competitions, general sessions, and the state officer candidate campaigns and elections: Hunter de la Garza, Sharon Garza, Daisy Gomez, Vanessa Hernandez, Alejandra Jimenez, Jennifer Kearns, Monique Martinez, Priscilla Molina, Yanairem Moreno, Jonathan Perez, Joselyne Rodriguez, Sandra Sierra, Estephania Torres, Christian Valencia.

            Students from the regional leadership conference have qualified to participate at the state level. The conference emphasizes business workforce education and training which members of the local BPA chapter have received.

            BPA is a national organization for middle school, high school, and college students preparing for careers in business and office occupations. The organization’s activities and programs complement classroom instruction by giving students practical experience through application of the skills learned at school. BPA acts as a cohesive agent in the nationwide networking of education and business and industry, and is contributing to the preparing of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic and technical skills.
