Mission, Texas- Mission High School (MHS) FFA Agricultural Mechanics and SCADE students recently competed in the Rio Grande Valley FFA welding contest held at South Texas College. The contest allowed students to test their knowledge and skills by demonstrating specific welding and blueprint reading techniques.
The Senior Team placed fourth overall and the Greenhand Team placed fifth overall in the event. Esai Torres and Genaro Duron both represented Mission FFA well by being high point individuals for their respective teams. Torres was the high point individual for the Greenhand Team. Duron was the high point individual for the Senior Team.
