MHS recognizes athletic trainers

 

            Mission, Texas- March is National Athletic Trainers Month; a time when athletic trainers around the country are recognized for their expertise and dedication to their profession. Athletic trainers are healthcare professionals who specialize in prevention, emergency care, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and sports-related illnesses. Mission High School (MHS) recently recognized two licensed athletic trainers, Bob Aparicio, Jr. and Lori Armendarez. These two also guide the MHS Sports Medicine Department which consists of 13 student athletic trainers who volunteer their time to ensure proper care and safety of Mission’s athletic teams. The student trainers are: Toni Villanueva, Vanessa Garcia, Jasmin Sanchez, Valerie Ochoa, Cassandra Gonzalez, Nelida Garza, Daniella Escamilla, Bethney Ramirez, Nacona Garcia, Azalea Alvarez, Mercedes Cuevas, Keila Garza, Justin Tamez.
