MHS BPA students advance to national competitions

 

            Mission, Texas- Two students from the Mission High School (MHS) Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter are advancing to national competitions to be held in Boston, MA in May. The two qualified based upon their performance at the BPA State Leadership Conference held earlier this month.

            Maxine Rodriguez (pictured left) will be competing in Intermediate Word Processing. Yvette Cazares (pictured right) will be competing in Advanced Office Systems and Procedures.

            Three other MHS BPA students are alternates for the national competition. They are: Stefanie Florez, Medical Office Procedures; Gustavo Castorena and Lorenzo, Computer Animation team.

            MHS had a total of 23 students advance to the state competition this year in 13 different events with 16 state alternates in six event.
