MHS choir members advance to state level competition

            Mission, Texas- Members of the Mission High School (MHS) choir qualified to advance to state-level competitions conducted through the Mission CISD (Consolidated Independent School District) Honor Solo and Ensemble Contest. Students who qualify for UIL state solo and ensemble level competitions are given the opportunity to perform for and be judged using state level criteria and judges without having to leave the area. Students who advance had to perform a Class 1 (college level) solo or ensemble piece and receive a first division rating.

The MHS choir students who advanced to this special contest were: Emara Balderas, Alixiz Garza, Giselle Reynaga, Oscar Salinas, Jose Tamez, Alex Vargas.
