MJH bands earn top honors at contest

 

            Mission, Texas-  The Mission Jr. High School (MJH) Honors Band and Symphonic Band recently competed at the 2015-2016 Concert and Sight-Reading contest. Out of the 80 bands, MJH is the only school to have two bands earns Sweepstakes honors. Each band performed three pieces they prepared in advance, in addition to a sight-reading piece they had seven minutes to learn. This is the sixth consecutive year the MJH Honor Band has earned a Sweepstakes trophy.

            The members of the MJH Honor Band are: Ariana Gonzalez, Darlynn Barrera, Valeria Alonzo, Marissa Leal, Alexa Gonzalez, Lexy Garza, Abraham Cruz, Diego Barbosa, Regina Gallegos, Mariana Hernandez, Mckhaela Doran, Lauren Peralez, Gema Sepulveda, Alexa Baes, Andy Alejos, Sam Gonzalez, Cesar Ysaguirre, Efrain Zamora, Savannah Doran, Paul McCoy, Felix Perez, Julian Alcarez, Priscilla Cobos, Hector Lazo, Nicolas Reyna, Jaythan Barrera, Alejandro Galvan, Josue Munoz, Brandon Salinas, Julio Villarreal, Ryan Acevedo, Rodrigo Flores, Isaak Salinas, Ryan Vick, Damian Gonzalez, Austin Solis, Nathan Perez, Razziel Ayala, Isaiah Baker, Eddie Meza, Anahi Moreno, Delilah Pena, Victoria Trevino.
