Mission CISD Special Olympians bring home a load of medals

Mission, Texas- The Mission CISD (Consolidated Independent School District) Special Olympians gave it their all at the recent 2016 Area 1 Spring Games held in Weslaco. The student athletes brought home 69 gold medals, 42 silver medals, 22 bronze medals, and 29 ribbons. Mission High School student, Ashley de la Rosa earned the Area 1 Female Athlete of the Year honor for age group 16-21.
