Mission, Texas- Salinas Elementary School received its award today for winning the City of Alton’s Recycle Bowl II. The campus won in the elementary school category by collecting 2,144 pounds of recyclable items in one week. The contest pits the Alton area schools from three different school districts against each other.
Second place in the elementary school category also went to a Mission CISD (Consolidated Independent School District) school, Cantu Elementary School.
