Mission CISD maintenance department employee honored as STASMO Employee of the Year

Mission, Texas- A member of the Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) maintenance department has been recognized as the South Texas Association of School Maintenance Officials (STASMO) 2016 Maintenance Employee of the Year. The award was presented to Noe Ozuna, carpenter/cabinet maker during ceremonies during the summer.

Each year, STASMO asks school district in the Region One Education Service Center area to nominate one maintenance department employee and one custodial employee for the honor. A STASMO committee reviews the nominations and selects one employee in each category.

Ozuna’s nomination notes a “can do and anything is possible” attitude towards his work. Ozuna’s work continues to demonstrate a commitment to the students and teachers of Mission CISD by ensuring that they have a positive learning environment by supplying great workmanship in the projects he works on. These projects range from custom cabinets and furnishings for specific needs to crafting set pieces for major district events.
