The official ribbon cutting was held for the cosmetology lab at Veterans Memorial High School. You would never know that this area once housed the Agricultural Sciences lecture and workshop/welding classes. After the new Ag building was completed, district officials began transforming the old Ag area into a state-of-the-art cosmetology lab that includes: a classroom, and a salon area complete with reception desk, customer waiting area, lots of work stations, manicure stations, and pedicure stations. This is the first time since VMHS became a high school that the cosmetology program there has had a space designed specifically for their needs. The program boasts a passing rate on the state licensing exam close to 100%.
