Investigating law enforcement careers

About 200 students from Veterans Memorial High School and Mission High School gathered together this morning for a special Law Enforcement Forum. The forum is a joint effort between Mission CISD, RGV LEAD, and Mission EDC. The forum brought together seven presenters representing Mission Police Department, U.S. Probation Office, U.S. Border Patrol, and members from the private sector.

The forum was designed to give students a sense of what traits make for a good law enforcement officer, but also what their duties involve, challenges in law enforcement today, as well as other things for students to consider as they consider making law enforcement a career.

A similar forum is being planned for the spring to address another career pathway or area of study.
