Mission, Texas- Five students from Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) are advancing to the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Area auditions for the TMEA All-State Choir. They are: Jonathan Benavides, Logan Dovalina, Jose Garcia, Angel Paniagua, Aylin Salinas. They each recently competed in the TMEA Pre-Area auditions and performed well enough to advance in the All-State process. Julian Rivera will also serve as an alternate for the Area auditions.
The TMEA All-State Choirs are considered the highest level of achievement for choir students in Texas. The TMEA All-State Choir auditions will be held in January at Rockport-Fulton High School.
