Mission, Texas- After her first year as head coach of the Veterans Memorial High School Volleyball Team, Martina Carrillo has been selected for a postseason honor. The Tip of Texas Chapter of the Texas Association of Sport Officials Association has selected Carrillo to be the District 5A West RGV All-Star Head Coach for the upcoming 2016 Tip of Texas Volleyball All-Star Showcase. She will coach the West team in this annual East versus West competition. The All-Star Showcase will be held at McAllen Memorial High School on December 11. The 5A game should begin at about 2:00 p.m.
