Mission, Texas- Three students from the Alton Memorial High School (AMJH) band program earned themselves spots in a Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-Region Band. The intense auditions were held recently for positions in three different All-Region ensembles. This is the highest level of achievement for middle school students with the TMEA. The auditions were held over two days for the middle school students in the area.
The AMJH students who earned positions in one of the three TMEA All-Region Bands are: Samuel Garcia, trombone; Britney Cruz, French horn; Daniel Martinez, clarinet.
These students joined others from the area in a special clinic and concert as a member of the All-Region Bands.
