Mission Collegiate High School (MCHS) teacher, Lizett Torres is in Austin today for a rare opportunity to meet personally with Texas Governor, Greg Abbott. Torres was invited to participate in an intimate roundtable discussion along with other educators from around the state. The group meeting is designed to be an informal conversation to discuss pressing issues impacting the teaching profession, directly with the Governor.
The letter of invitation sent to Torres indicates the Governor is looking for honest feedback to help improve the teaching climate in the state, and ultimately, the success of students.
