Santa Makes an Early Appearance at MCISD

MCISD students are at the top of Santa’s Nice list! He got a head start delivering gifts to students across the district today with a little help from his helpers at the Special Education Department and Central Office staff.

The annual gift-giving is an initiative of the Special Education Department. Carolina Campos, Director for Special Education, said this is the third year organizing this event after a staffer suggested collecting gifts for students instead of the regular staff gift exchange.

This year, they delivered gifts to more than 200 students throughout MCISD. She said one of the nicest things is showing students that their letter reached all the way to the North Pole.

“Students write Dear Santa letters, so, when we draw names, we know exactly what to get them,” said Campos. “The kids love it.”
