We are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) student, Abraham Ibarra. Abraham touched many lives, in school and in the community, and his spirit and determination will be greatly missed by his Mission CISD and VMHS family.
Area crisis counselors and additional counseling resources from throughout the district have been called upon to help students and staff through this difficult time, and will continue to be made available as needed. We ask that our community join in keeping everyone impacted by Abraham’s passing in their thoughts and prayers.

*Update, January 13- Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14 at Palm Valley Church in Mission from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home of Mission.
