Mission HS BPA Students Advance to State Competition

January 18, 2017– Mission High School’s (MHS) Business Professionals of America (BPA) took six 1st place spots at the regional level and advanced 14 students to the state competition to be held March 2-5 in Corpus Christi.

Kenya Salinas won 1st place in Advanced Word Processing, Jenny Barrientos won 1st place in Database Applications, Alejandro Hernandez won 1st place in Fundamental Spreadsheet Applications, and Marcela Rodriguez won 1st place in Integrated Office Applications. Two teams also took 1st place: the Presentation Management Team made up of Marcela Rodriguez, Annahi Lopez, Vianelly Cantu, and Giselle Ponce; as well as the Video Production Team made up of Ricardo Montoya and Samantha Banda.

Also advancing to state are Jessica Rodriguez, Ashmin Torres, Angelica Garcia, Shari Gomez, and Juan Reyna. Congratulations and good luck at state!
