KWJH math students qualify for state competition

            Mission, Texas- An academic math team of students from K. White Jr. High School (KWJH) has qualified for state competition. It is the first time the campus has participated in the MathCounts competitions. They qualified during recent regional competitions. Two students qualified to compete as individuals at state, while one team also qualified in the team category. If students perform well enough at the state competition, they could advance to the national level.

            The members of the team are: Gabriel Rodriguez, Lisa Garza, Alex Gonzalez and Zhi Huang. Coach: Adrian Chapa. Gabriel Rodriguez and Zhi Huang also qualified for state as individuals.
