VMHS’ “Terre Haute” Advances to One Act District Finals

Veterans Memorial High School’s Harlequins are taking their One-Act play to the District finals this week after their successful performance at the Zone competition. It has taken a tremendous amount of work and preparation by the entire cast and crew to put on “Terre Haute” by Don Nigro, a rich and complex story of various people from different periods of the 1900s who are stuck in the afterlife trying to re-live their past in hopes of a better ending.

Special awards went out to Victoria Rodriguez, Outstanding Technician; Samuel Gonzalez, Honorable Mention All Star Cast; Emiliano Perez, All Star Cast; and Caryssa Ozuna, All Star Cast.

The District finals will be held Thursday, March 9, at Valley View High School. The UIL competition goes from District, to Bi-District to Area to Region and finally State.
