MHS student claims top prize at state math competition

            Mission, Texas- The mathletes of Mission High School are continuing to build a reputation at the state Texas Math Science Coaches Association competitions. During the most recent state competition, the MHS mathletes finished in the top ten among 6A high schools.

            David Medina took home the top prize in the ninth grade state Calculator Applications competition.

            The team is now focusing on upcoming UIL competitions, with an eye for qualifying as many as possible for state competitions.
